“Lift yourself by your own self. Never let yourself sink.”

Bhagavad Gita 6.5
In plain terms

The verse hands you both roles: the one who lifts and the one who is lifted. Nobody else stands close enough to reach you every single day, so the daily raising has to be your own doing.

The second half matters as much as the first. Never let yourself sink means the self-talk that talks you under is also yours to refuse.
